REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA APPLICATION
You must make the appointment for a personal interview in here.
The appointment day:
1. Bring passport: original and photocopy (from the picture page).
2. Visa must be request for argentinian residents or not
3. You must give a reference in Uruguay. It can be an uruguayan person or a hotel reservation in Uruguay (bring a copy). Without this requirement the process can´t be initiated
4. If the reference is a person will be contact by the Migration Office of Uruguay. If the reference is a hotel this must confirm the reservation.
5. The reference is a must, even if you are going to stay one day.
6. The Consulate request the authorization to the Migration Office of Uruguay.
7. After the appointment it takes 30 days into have the resolution.
8. Once the visa is issued, the applicant must enter to Uruguay within sixty days following the date of issue.
9. If you have Argentinian ID, o the residence in process, you must bring the documents.
10. If you have a previous visa to Uruguay, provide a photocopy.
11. Consular fee: U$S 42 paid in argentinean pesos.
12. The Application form will give given, filled in and signed at the Consulate.
13. When the visa is authorized the person has to come with the passport requesting a new appointment through this system.

15. If you are an applicant from Taiwan you must bring the appointment day a picture 4x4.
Note:
In the case of cruise ships landing in transit in a port of Uruguay, is not necessary visa application at the Consulate. The maritime agency or legal representative must manage entry permit passengers requiring visa at the Immigration Inspector Port. BUQUEBUS OR OTHER FERRIES ARE NOT CONSIDERED AS CRUISE SHIPS.

SOLICITUD DE VISA CIUDADANO EXTRANJERO
El trámite es personal con previa cita solicitada ante este Consulado por este medio.
El día del turno:
1. Debe traer pasaporte: original y copia (de la página de la foto).
2. Se aplica tanto para residentes como para no residentes en Argentina.
3. Debe aportar una referencia en Uruguay:
Puede ser: una persona de nacionalidad uruguaya (nombre, dirección, teléfono y correo electrónico) o la reserva de un hotel en Uruguay (aportar copia de reserva). Sin este requisito la solicitud no podrá ser indicada.
4. Si la referencia es una persona será llamada por Migraciones de Uruguay. Si es un hotel, éste deberá confirmar la reserva a Migraciones de Uruguay.
5. La referencia es obligatoria aunque la estadía en Uruguay sea de un día.
6. El Consulado solicita autorización a Uruguay para expedir la visa.
7. El trámite demora aproximadamente treinta días.
8. Una vez expedida la visa, el solicitante debe ingresar a Uruguay dentro de los sesenta días siguientes a la fecha de expedición de la visa.
9. Si tiene DNI o certificado de residencia precaria, aportar fotocopia.
10. Si tiene visa anterior de Uruguay, aportar fotocopia.
11. Tasa Consular U$S 42 pagos en pesos argentinos.
12. El Formulario de Solicitud será dado, completado y firmado en el Consulado.
13. Cuando la visa sea autorizada, el solicitante debe asistir con su pasaporte al Consulado solicitando un nuevo turno por este sistema.

14. Si es un solicitante de Taiwan debe traer el día del turno una foto 4x4.
NOTA:
En el caso de cruceros con desembarco en tránsito en algún puerto de Uruguay, no es necesario el trámite de visa en el Consulado. La agencia marítima o su representante legal deben gestionar el permiso de ingreso de pasajeros que requieren visa, ante la Inspectoría de Migraciones del puerto. BUQUEBUS Y OTROS FERRYS NO SON CONSIDERADOS CRUCEROS.
